It is fairly easy to obtain a mortgage in Spain, as long as you can provide proof that you have the means to cover the repayments.

Mortgage costs in Spain tend to be lower then those in the UK. However you are probably aware that you have the option to release funds from your property in the UK prior to coming out to Spain.

There are many different ways of financing a property purchase abroad and we can put you in touch with a financial advisor either in Spain or in the UK.

There are generally two levels of mortgage offered, one for residents, and one for non residents.

For non residents the mortgage offered is generally around 60 to 70 % of the declared value.

For residents it is usually between 70 to 80% of the declared value.

However..there are also banks who will offer up to 100% mortgages subject to valuation.
